Les Fontaines can help you realize your commitment in favor of sustainability by organizing eco-responsible events.
Les Fontaines is the leading European corporate eco-campus awarded the Ecolabel by AFNOR, obtained in 2008 and renewed in 2010.
We reduce the environmental and ecological impact of your event through our ambitious policy, based on four principles:
- A rigorous energy policy
- Responsible management of natural resources
- The use of products from organic and fair trade agriculture
- The systematic recycling of waste
We can also calculate your carbon footprint and compensate it to neutralize the environmental impact of your event.
Begun over 10 years ago, our commitment is materialized through initiatives and actions that are the subject of an annual quantified report. We intend to pursue and enhance our efforts: see our action plan for 2010-2011.
Our eco-conscious catering in details
Local and seasonal produce
The fresh produce used by our Chef respects seasonality in over 95% of cases. 70% of our food purchases come from metropolitan France, 20% from Europe and 10% from the rest of the world.
Organic and fair trade products
With the exception of pastries, breakfast served at Les Fontaines is organic and/or fair trade. Every lunch and dinner menu includes at least one organic product and several locally grown ingredients. At your request, the Chef can prepare menus that are 100% organic.
Transport management
All food supplies are grouped on a platform in Paris before transport to Les Fontaines. Sourcing from local producers (vegetables, bread …) also limits food mileage. Additionally, we have fully eliminated air shipments from our procurement chain.
