An estate in the heart of a fascinating region

Chantilly, an exceptional town

The town of Chantilly has a rich historical heritage. Built around the château, it grew steadily in the 18th century. From the 19th century onwards, horse-riding contributed to the town's renown.

The Domaine de Chantilly, an exceptional site

Today, the château is home to the Musée Condé, France's leading museum (after the Louvre) for pre-1850 paintings. It comprises more than ten rooms and brings together more than 800 masterpieces of French, Italian, Flemish and English painting. Other attractions include the Musée du Cheval and 115 hectares of parks and gardens designed by André Le Nôtre, Louis XIV’s chief landscape gardener.

Equestrian pursuits, the soul of Chantilly

Chantilly is an exceptional place dedicated to horses, featuring:
the Chantilly racecourse, established in 1834, across 65 hectares opposite the Grandes Écuries (Great Stables), which hosts such prestigious events as the Grand Prix du Jockey-Club and the Prix de Diane; an intensive training center for more than 3,000 thoroughbred racehorses; the Polo Club, on a 205-hectare listed site, offering a variety of services to companies, including sponsorship opportunities, competitions, training, dressage and other events.
