biodiversity: international certification for our campus

Biodiversity: Objective Earth

Boasting a 52-hectare park, a lake and a forest of lime trees, the Les Fontaines Campus has always been a privileged place for biodiversity to flourish. Aware of this 140-year heritage, and at a time when the planet is crying out for attention, the Serge Kampf les Fontaines Campus is redoubling its vigilance and commitment to the environment.

A new international certification

Holding the European ecolabel since 2008, the venue is also a member of the IACC (World Association of Conference Centers) and received their premium distinction "Green Star - Gold Level" in 2017. Recently, les Fontaines went one step further by obtaining international ISO 14001 certification, which aims for continuous improvement in environmental performance. The Campus was also a finalist for the best CSR Innovation approach award at ComInRSE 2018. (Discover the pitches in a playful way in comics)

An annual carbon footprint

Every June 5 (International Environment Day), the Campus invests in the preservation of 52 hectares of Amazonian forest, the exact equivalent of our park. Every year, the Campus carries out a carbon footprint assessment. It can therefore accurately determine the carbon footprint of a participant (50 kg of carbon equivalent per day) and offers its customers the opportunity to offset this impact by giving each of their participants a tree to plant. In this way, events at Les Fontaines become carbon-neutral.

An eco-responsible site for everyone's enjoyment

This "Green" approach is also reflected in the design of the buildings, the management of water consumption, the air conditioning and heating of rooms using geothermal energy, and even the reuse of rainwater... Particular care is given to the upkeep and embellishment of the park, so that as many people as possible can enjoy it: "Fauna & Flora" discovery trails, team-buildings, bucolic walks or sports trails...
At Les Fontaines, we truly believe that respecting nature means respecting ourselves. In 2018, more than ever, the teams at Les Fontaines will be playing their part in managing the environmental impact of our activities - and we're working on it - by raising our collective awareness.
